The fountain at the end of the world, er walk.

The fountain was my last stop on my drift walk. Where was this fountain you ask? Why it was a large fountain at the Milwaukee Art Museum that I walked around and recorded the sounds of water and wind passing under the bridge and traffic and Summerfest echoing, so overall I think it was a very interesting recording. The fountain itself sounds kind of like waves for some reason which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I think I may have been pretty burned out at this point as in sun burned but that was alright. It was a good place to end and gave me a sweet recording. Listen here. Final recording of the day.

Phantom in the park.

This sound is one I really enjoyed. When I was walking through a park by Prospect and Juneau I started to hear crazy echoing and reverberation around the park as the sounds of Summerfest were traveling way up the hill towards me. I could see the grounds far off in the distance and it was a pretty great view. This particular recording sounds like phantom voices to me and is one of several of the sounds of Summerfest. I chose this one over the others because it is less clear as to what you are hearing where as some of the others you could tell what song was being played. Pretty crazy how far the sounds carry. Listen HERE.

Wave over here, or is it over there.

So as my drift walk took me down to the beach I decided to pick up some classic sounds of the waves washing up on shore by my feet. Luckily this sound was accented by a boat revving off in the distance. However not too long ago I found myself filming the waves and reversing them for a video of different things in reverse. The video had no sound however so I didn't get to hear how the waves sounded that way, so with this clip the entire sounds have been reversed. Strangely the boat still sounds like its revving up and up so I am not sure exactly what was going on when I first recorded it with that. Anyways here it is enjoy.
